The Minister of Social Affairs and Employment announced that the salary thresholds for highly skilled migrants and Blue Card holders will be increased with 2,18% as per 1 January 2019.
The thresholds apply for applications filed as of this date and are as follows:
Highly skilled migrants from 30 years of age: € 4.500,-
Highly skilled migrants younger than 30 years: €3.299,-
Highly skilled migrant following an orientation year or graduated less than 3 years ago : €2.364,-
Blue Card holders: €5.272,-
The above salary thresholds are exclusive of 8% holiday allowance.
Please note that HSM salaries should in addition to the threshold be in conformity with market standards.
Key personnel in an Intra Corporate Transfer (ICT) are not subject to the thresholds, but will be held against a similar standard as highly skilled migrants.
